About Us: History and Overview

Smart Diagnostic Devices was born out of the occupational health industry need for a user-friendly automated audiometer. In 2010 Smart Diagnostic Devices launched the SMART TONE Automatic Audiometer, featuring a touch screen with an intuitive icon-interface. This feature allows users to quickly set up the audiometer for hearing conservation screenings, save data and print reports.

In 2010 the D-Check Bio Acoustic Simulator was developed to help SMART TONE audiometer users with simple and dependable daily calibration checks. D-Check can be used for OSHA, MSHA or DOT hearing programs.

Working under the premise of continually providing technically advanced, integrated and flexible products for the audiometry market, Smart Diagnostic Devices took a leap of faith, harnessing new cloud technology for audiometric data management. In 2016 SmartMove Cloud products were launched. Cloud technology had never been used before specifically for audiometric data storage, transfer and security.

Smart Diagnostic Devices products are the result of a dedicated team of programmers, product development and HIPAA specialists. Working together, they design and build equipment and software to provide practical solutions to occupational health and clinical business challenges.
