🌱 Spring Energy Tip #4: Protect Your Neck & Upper Back for Better Qi Flow

Hello, my dear friends,

As spring arrives, nature begins to awaken and a new cycle of life energy (Qi) starts to rise. In Spring Forest Qigong, we understand that the essence of spring is internal awakening and expression—a time when energy begins moving again after the stillness of winter.

During the first month or two of spring, the seasonal energy is still adjusting and not yet fully stable. This is why it is important to increase awareness of the changes happening in nature and within your body. By staying mindful of these shifts, you can help ground your Qi, strengthen your immune system, and protect your health.

🧣 Spring Energy Tip #4: Protect Your Neck & Upper Back

In Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong practice, wind and cold can enter the body through the neck and upper back, especially around the C7 area (the prominent bone at the base of the neck).

To protect your energy and health:

✨ Keep your neck and upper back warm, especially during windy spring days
✨ This is particularly important if you experience lung issues, allergies, or seasonal sensitivities
✨ Before going outside, gently bounce or cup your upper back to warm the area and activate Qi circulation

This simple practice helps protect the heart and lungs, strengthen your energy field, and keep your Qi flowing smoothly.

Small daily habits can make a powerful difference in maintaining balance, vitality, and harmony with the energy of the season.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin

In qigong, the focus is not on the external symptoms, but rather on the fundamental energy blockages that produce them.

Qigong is a way of healing and prevention that goes far beyond the physical body.

You may have heard many stories about the “miraculous” healing that has occurred with Qigong, and to some it may seem like just that, a miracle.

To those that have practiced Qigong, you know firsthand, the source of healing, that comes from Qigong and how empowering it is to know that everything you need to heal yourself, is at your fingertips, literally…

Qigong healing is so successful when it comes to healing the body because, it goes deeper than the physical body and deeper than the symptoms.

Qigong healing goes straight to the “root cause” of an illness, to help the body heal fully and completely.

Qigong takes, what sometimes can be a lengthy path to finding the root cause, and shortens it drastically, because your body’s (Qi) intelligence already knows how to heal itself!

Qigong works with your body’s (Qi) intelligence to heal not only physically, but also, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually

For instance, someone may be diagnosed with arthritis of the finger joints, but the blockage is really in the stomach system. Removing the energy blockage and balancing the energy in the stomach system could help heal and remove the arthritic damage to the joints.

Hello, my dear friends.

In the winter, when days are shorter, the weather is colder, and the earth turns inward to sleep, with the flick of a finger we can turn the heat all the way up, keep the lights on all day, and stay up all night. Chances are, you can watch snow fall while you eat tropical pineapple or enjoy a fresh garden salad.

In the summer, as the sun warms the world and invites and incites every living thing to move and to grow in open air, with that same flick of a finger we can draw the blinds and enjoy an air-conditioned breeze.

So now you can see why so many people find themselves with health challenges as the seasons change.

They’ve stopped living in harmony with the energies around them. Its that simple.

While these conveniences make life comfortable, they can also cause us to lose touch with the natural rhythms of the universe.

The truth is simple: we are part of nature, and nature lives within us.

When the seasons change, the energy around us changes as well. In Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong, our bodies respond directly to these shifts in energy. When we live out of harmony with these natural cycles, many people begin to experience fatigue, stress, weakened immunity, and other health challenges.

In Spring Forest Qigong, we learn simple yet profound principles that help us reconnect with the universe and restore balance.

One of the most powerful reminders we use in every practice is the Qigong password:

✨ “I am in the universe. The universe is in my body. The universe and I combine together.”

This reminds us that everything in the universe is energy, and energy is always transforming.

As we approach the Spring Equinox, the earth moves into a powerful moment of balance between light and darkness. This is a very special time to harvest fresh universal energy and support the body through the seasonal transition.

To help guide this process, Master Chunyi Lin will be leading a special Equinox Energy Harvesting practice. This guided experience allows you to connect deeply with the energy of the universe and absorb the powerful seasonal Qi available during this transition. Many people find this practice to be profoundly energizing, healing, and transformative.

✨ Activate Healing Energy in Your Palms with This Simple Qigong Technique! ✨

🌿 How to Practice:
🔥 Rub your hands together until they’re very warm.
🤲 Place one or both palms on the area of pain or swelling.
💛 Silently send a healing message from your heart: "The pain is gone—completely healed." This is not only good for pain, but also for swelling, eye problems, arthritis, etc. If you can visualize light coming out of your palm(s) and going into the area that needs healing energy, it will be even better.

HELPS WITH:
Pain
Swelling
Eye Problems
Arthritis

🌟 Visualize healing light flowing from your palms into the area.

Your palms hold powerful healing energy! This technique can support relief from pain, swelling, arthritis, and even eye problems.

In the middle of your palms there is a very powerful healing energy center; when you rub your hands together until they are warm, you activate this energy. When you put your palm on a specific area, it activates the energy in that area.

Using your palms in this way can help maintain health and can help heal in areas where you have specific problems. Many minor problems can be helped by doing this.

Hello, my dear friends,

We often say “connect to the Universe” in Spring Forest Qigong—but what does that really mean?

The Universe is everything we can see and touch… and everything we cannot.
It is where we come from, where we exist now, and where we return.

When we reconnect to the Universe, we reconnect to the source of healing, love, and wisdom that already lives within us. ✨

Many Blessings,

Spring Energy Tip: Protect Your Energy in Early Spring 🌱☀️

Hello, my dear friends,

As spring begins, nature awakens and a new cycle of energy begins to rise. In Spring Forest Qigong, this season represents a time of internal awakening and expression—a time when life energy starts to move again after the quiet stillness of winter.

However, in the early weeks of spring, the seasonal energy is still adjusting. The earth is transitioning from winter’s dormant state, and the energy around us may not yet be stable. This is why it’s important to increase your awareness of both the changes happening in nature and the changes happening inside your body.

When we stay mindful of these seasonal shifts, we can ground our energy and support our health more effectively.

☀️ Spring Energy Tip #2: Wait for the Sun

In early spring, try not to go outside before sunrise.

During the night, the earth can still hold some of the stagnant energy left over from winter, especially beneath leaves and soil. Your body is still adjusting to the rising spring energy, so it’s best to wait until the sun rises before spending time outdoors.

The sun’s warmth and light help activate fresh Qi, making it easier for your body to connect with the healthy energy of the new season while protecting your energy field and overall well-being.

By aligning your daily habits with the natural rhythm of the seasons, you help your body maintain stronger Qi flow, balance, and vitality.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin

What does it mean to walk on an awakening path?

Awakening is living what I love to do and be. As I love to be in each moment, I become more aware of my own Soul.

Imagine – you are walking on a path through fields of green grass. Everywhere, there are bright little dandelions. What do you say to yourself? “My goodness! Look at all these obnoxious little weeds everywhere!” Or, “What beautiful little flowers! I’m going to pick a few and make a nice green salad and some tea with them!”

Maybe you remember the joy of plucking these flowers as a child. Or maybe you think with disgust of the toil of digging them up in your garden.

Now. The truth is, there is just you, the fields, and the dandelions.

Are dandelions obnoxious?

Are they delightful?

If you really look at it, those experiences – delight or disgust – have to do with YOU

Do you want dandelions to bring you happiness and joy?

Or do you want them to make you miserable? This is the choice you get to make.

That is how life is, and that is what it means to choose to walk on an awakening path.

Our life is like a path. We have to walk it every day. Along the way, we will encounter many things, people, and events. Every one of these can open our hearts more, teach us more about life, and deepen our connection to others, to the living world around us, and even to the universe.

This path we walk every day can bring us more joy, peace, gratitude, and contentment. Or, it can turn us around, wear us out, and take us deep into thorns, thickets, and muddy places.

Our mind might end up going one way, our body another, and our spirit – who knows!

We can get lost easily. That means being disconnected within ourselves, disconnected from what is around us, and being caught up in pain and suffering.

This path of thickets and thorns is a very easy path to go down. It is very easy to see weeds and nuisances. But it is just as easy to see flowers and delight, and to walk an easier path.

That is exactly what Spring Forest Qigong helps you to do!

There is an easy way to reconnect to yourself and to the world. There is a simple way to see the world differently.

The choice is yours my friend. Choose Happiness.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin

03/10/2026

Hello, my dear friends,

Have you ever brought home a beautiful, vibrant potted plant, only to find that over time, the leaves started to turn yellow or brown, the soil would not keep moist, and the stems started to droop?

If you removed the plant from its pot, you may have noticed its roots had become thickly entangled, with no room to grow. What happened?

The plant’s life-system had become blocked. The yellow and brown leaves were only the symptoms —the blocked roots were the real issue. With the roots blocked, no matter how much water and nutrients you poured into the soil, none of it was absorbed — it merely ran off, never absorbing and nourishing the roots. This, in turn, affected the strength of the stems and leaves.

When we re-pot our plants, we remove the plant and soil from their container and we gently release the compacted dirt from the roots.
We then place the plant into a bigger container, to give the roots room to grow. We add in fresh soil and then provide water and nutrients to nurture the plant back to health.

At first, the plant may still seem a bit droopy and “in shock,” but in no time, new growth appears and our plant is back to being beautiful and vibrant again!

But if we just focused on plucking the dying leaves or just added plant food, the plant would continue to deteriorate and eventually die, because we would not be addressing the real issue of the bound and entangled roots.

Just like our plants, we also can become energetically “rootbound.”
If our Qi is unable to circulate freely throughout our body, our energy stagnates — just like with the roots of the plant. Our life-system becomes blocked… and then we
begin to experience significant health issues.

At that point, if we do not take positive action to get the Qi moving again, the consequences can be very serious.

That is why, in Spring Forest Qigong, we use Healing Movements to help awaken and move the Qi, clearing the physical and emotional stresses that are blocking the energy flow in the body.

Qi is our life-wisdom, the blueprint of our healthiest self.
When we are able to move our Qi throughout our body, we can “re-set” the energy system and open up those tightly bound energy “roots.”

Then, when Qi is flowing freely again, the body can absorb more energy where there may not be enough, release energy where there is too much, and repair damaged cells.

💫 Curious about the root cause of stress and how to restore your energy from a Qigong perspective?

Join me in this September’s Healing Connection, where we’ll explore the true source of stress and guide you in practices to move your Qi, release blockages, and revitalize your body and mind.

Hello, my dear friends,

LOVE in the emotional level, helps you to balance the energy

LOVE can change the direction of energy in your body, it can reset the flow of energy into a beautiful healing, loving and blessing direction.

When you say “I love you” from the head, this is from the conscious mind. It means you determined, you decided, this is good for you, but you didn’t necessarily put this message into the heart. When you do, you still have judgement on what you’re saying in this moment; I love you because of something, because of a condition.

When you surrender this message into your HEART, you really FEEL that you love somebody from your heart you activate the subconscious mind.

The HEART doesn’t have any judgement

The HEART doesn’t have any concerns of right or wrong. Once you decide to do something, no matter what it is, the HEART is going to give the energy to you.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin
