To those of you who don’t live in Minnesota:
While you watch what unfolds here this weekend, please remember that we have the largest occupation of any American city in history and the only acts of violence, thus far, have been at the hands of ICE.
Minnesotans care deeply for each other and have stepped up to help our neighbors in the tens of thousands.
Peacefully.
Helping.
Delivering food, necessities, art supplies, games, etc. to people afraid to leave their homes.
Donated money to help families pay their rent.
Shifted to virtual learning for those frightened to send their children to school.
We are a people who know what the right thing to do is and step up to do it.
I am so proud to live here in this state of goodness.
So, I ask when you watch what happens here going forward, please keep the above mentioned in your mind for context.
The real paid agitators have arrived to break the peace and cause chaos in order to justify even more radical action.
I pray for peace, as I always do. But I am prepared for far worse.

I should add…for those of you who still stand with the side committing these atrocities, it is not too late to change. It’s not too late to turn malice into kindness. We will welcome you.

3 years ago I knew I wanted to have a bigger role in helping women. I spent time analyzing the options and knew the right path for me was to be a part of healthcare and help women through nursing.
Since then I have worked hard to make it happen.
I fell down, failed plenty, had more panic attacks than I can count, almost gave up at least 4 times and, yet, here I am still standing.
Last Friday I sat to take my NCLEX (the nursing board examination). It was hard.
I didn’t expect anything less.
I walked out of the exam feeling like I did my best but wasn’t sure that was good enough.
Today I got my results.
I passed!
I am officially Cindy Ravn, RN.

For all the ways we dislike social media these days, I will always be grateful for the memories that pop up.
This was New years Eve 2006.
My 56 year old self is grateful there is photographic evidence of those legs! I mean…come on!!!! 🤩

Every year I am nostalgic when we decorate our tree. Each ornament holds a memory for me. This year I invited the energy of all the memories to fill our home with joy. And would you look at this photo??? It’s as if all the energy from those memories are swirling around the tree.
I feel honored and awed and so oh so loved.
