Edgewater Education Association Edgewater Education Association (EEA) is made up of teachers and specialists in EVG and GW Schools in Edgewater, NJ.

EEA stands for Edgewater Education Association. Our association members work in the Edgewater Public Schools – George Washington and Eleanor Van Gelder Schools. The membership includes classroom, special education, and special subject teachers, as well as a guidance counselor, a speech therapist, child study team members, and a nurse. Our seasoned veterans and enthusiastic new members work diligen

tly to educate the children of Edgewater in the academic areas and the arts while nurturing our students’ sense of self and interpersonal skills. As a membership, we consider ourselves part of the Edgewater community and are invested in the well-being of all community members.

The Fifth Grade Student Council, led by Mr. Blaso, Ms. Pio, and Ms. Barry, created sensory panels.

These panels offer hands-on learning and practice with dexterity and hand-eye coordination. They can help manage emotions and encourage curiosity, as well.

The Student Council installed the panels creating a sensory walk in the Pre-K wing of GW School. The Student Council spent time interacting with the Pre-K students as they familiarized themselves with the completed sensory walk. It was a BIG hit with the littles!

While at GW, the Student Council members read to various classes and helped teachers with different tasks.

Hard work, sense of community, and team spirit added up to a successful day!
