Tox isn’t instant, and it isn’t permanent. It peaks around 2–4 weeks, gradually softens, and by 3–4 months movement is returning which means it's time for your next treatment.

Staying “frozen” the entire time isn’t how it works...and it’s not the goal.

📤 Send this to your friend who panics when movement comes back and needs the friendly reminder 😉

How often should you get tox?

Neurotoxins temporarily block acetylcholine, the signal that tells muscles to contract. As your body regenerates that signal, muscle movement gradually returns over 3–4 months.

So that's why treatments are needed every 3-4 months to maintain results—and consistent treatments help prevent wrinkles from becoming deeper over time.

Filler migration gets talked about a lot online...but the why behind it usually gets left out.

In reality, migration most often happens when:
• the wrong product is used
• filler is placed too superficially
• too much is added in one session (think lippies💋)

The lips and under-eyes are particularly sensitive areas because the muscles there move constantly. This is why product choice, technique, and patience matter!

Send it to someone who thinks all filler inevitably migrates (it DOESN’T!) 💉

Everyone wants to know which tox is “best—the OG Botox? Or is Dysport, Jeuveau or Daxxify just fine.

The truth is that they all do the same dang thing. They’re all botulinum toxin type A, and their job is pretty simple: they temporarily soften muscle movement that causes wrinkles. The differences between them are nuances such as how they spread, how quickly they kick in, how they’re dosed, what kind of movement you want, etc. Those details matter, but they matter far more to me than to you.

What actually matters for your results is whether your injector understands those nuances and knows how to choose and dose the right product for your muscles, anatomy, and goals.

So instead of asking which tox is best, it’s better to ask if you trust the person injecting it? That’s actually what determines your outcome.

🔖Save this so you remember that the brand isn’t what determines your results.

Filler gets a bad reputation because most people think it’s just about “adding volume.”

But when used correctly, filler is a STRUCTURAL TOOL.

As we age, we naturally lose bone support and healthy fat volume in the face. And that loss of support contributes to things like deeper smile lines, heaviness in the lower face, and jowling.

Strategic filler helps restore that support, allowing the overlying tissue and skin to sit more naturally.

When we only treat the surface without addressing the deeper layers of aging, results often look underwhelming or just a little off.

🔖Save this if you’ve ever wondered why filler is recommended in certain areas.

One of the biggest misconceptions about b0tox is that you’re supposed to stay completely frozen for 3–4 months.

That’s not actually how it works.

Neurotoxins peak around the 2–4 week mark, when the muscle is most relaxed. After that, the effect gradually softens as your body slowly regenerates nerve signaling and the muscle begins to regain movement.

So if you notice some movement returning before the 3-month mark, that’s completely normal!

The expectation isn’t zero movement for months and then suddenly everything comes back overnight. It’s a gradual return of motion over time.

Save this as a friendly PSA for the next time someone says their Botox “wore off early.” 💉

I never do posts like this BUT this one definitely deserves a spot on the feed.

I finally tried farm dinner and let’s just say it was a 10/10 🤌🏻it was such a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, serving us one of the best multi-course meals I’ve ever had.

If you ever get the chance to do one of their farm dinners…absolutely do it!

If you’ve had brow heaviness with a past tox treatment, it’s not about too many units. But instead it’s all about placement.

Your forehead muscles help lift the brows. If injections are placed incorrectly, it can weaken that support and create that heavy feeling over the eyes. Or even worse yet, cause the brows to drop or sit lower.

So the solution isn’t typically less units.
It’s better placement and proper muscle balance.

Technique matters just as much as dose (and honestly, more)

Have you ever experienced brow heaviness after tox? Tell me in the comments👇

One of the biggest reasons patients feel like their b0tox “didn’t last” comes down to dosing. And I talk about it all the time with patients in my chair.

Neurotoxins aren’t one-size-fits-all. The muscles in your forehead, 11s, and crow’s feet all vary in strength and size, which means they require different amounts of product to relax them effectively. When the dose is too low, the muscle regains movement sooner and results fade faster than expected.

That doesn’t mean more is always better either. The goal is finding your personal dosing sweet spot so results last while still looking natural.

Good results come down to proper assessment, injection technique, and dosing.

Save this for the next time someone says their Botox “only lasted a month.” 💉

Brow heaviness is one of the most common complaints I hear from patients who’ve had tox in the past.

And the first assumption is always “I just had way too many units”

But most of the time…that’s not actually the problem at all.

It’s about poor placement. Either injecting the forehead way too LOW or when injecting between the brows…but way too HIGH. Both of these will result in the brow heaviness you dread or the angry bird look. Not a good look.

Keeping the lower part of the forehead muscle active is key in preventing this!

You don’t wake up one morning with jowls or deeper smile lines.

It creeps in.

We produce less collagen as we age, and it breaks down about 1% every year. Collagen is what gives your skin structure and support so when that support slowly declines, things can start to feel heavier, thinner, or just… less firm than they used to.

That’s not always a “we need more filler” situation.
A lot of the time, it’s a collagen issue.

Sculptra works differently. It stimulates your body to rebuild collagen gradually. The changes aren’t dramatic overnight. They’re subtle, progressive, and natural.

This is for the patient who wants to rebuild slowly and strategically but not look dramatically different, just look stronger and more supported over time.
