🎓High School Service Intern Luke Rennekamp spends each afternoon after school at St. Elizabeth gaining firsthand experience in the health care field. With more than 200 departments across St. Elizabeth Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Physicians, Luke’s schedule is tailored to his interests and provides real‑world experience.

“This experience has improved my communication, my professionalism and my ability to manage my time which is crucial heading into college.”

The program has given Luke clarity about his future in a meaningful way. “I already knew that I wanted to go into nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner, but I did not which kind. My experience in the MICU…has made me want to pursue a career as an acute care ICU nurse practitioner.”

Luke’s placements have ranged from ICUs to the pharmacy to the Emergency Department. He encourages prospective applicants, saying, “Just do it. It has been an amazing program that I have loved, and it has given me so many opportunities and connections.” ✨

St. Elizabeth High School Service Intern Program opportunities are available in four tracks throughout Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana: Patient Care, Facilities & Engineering, Culinary and Business.

Applications for the St. Elizabeth High School Service Intern Program are due Feb. 28. More information is available at: social.stelizabeth.com/hsvol1
