We often hear that breast implants should be replaced every 10 years. The truth is that unless there is a problem, no exchange is necessary.

If your implants feel comfortable, look the way they should, and imaging shows everything is healthy, there’s no reason to replace them on a schedule alone. Surgery is only recommended when there’s a concern like rupture, capsular contracture, or a change you want to make personally.
