Women's Clinic provides healthcare services in the field of obstetrics and gynecology to women of all ages. In addition to your basic check ups, we specialize in pregnancies, incontinence, menopause and sexual dysfunction. The most important thing a woman can do to reduce her ovarian cancer risk is to know the early signs and symptoms of the disease and seek the care of a gynecologist for further evaluation if her symptoms last for three weeks or more. These symptoms include bloating, pelvic pain or pressure, menstrual changes, loss of appetite or not being able to eat as much as you normally would or feeling the need to urinate frequently or often.

To provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care to the women of Edinburg, Hidalgo County, and all of South Texas.

Thank you, for taking the time to review our website/page and for considering us as your new Women’s Health location.

At the Women’s Clinic of South Texas, we proudly provide the full spectrum of Obstetric and Gynecologic services all under one roof. Our South Closner Blvd location has continuously operated as an OB/GYN clinic for the past 40 years, earning its reputation as a leader in Women’s Health for Edinburg, McAllen, and all of South Texas.

Pregnancy Care: Obstetric services include routine and high risk pregnancy care, 3-D Obstetric ultrasound, and the latest fetal genetic testing methods. Hospital deliveries occur at Women’s Hospital at Renaissance and Edinburg Regional Hospital. Walk-ins are welcome and if you don't have insurance, staff are available to assist in applications for Chips or Medicaid and Healthy Texas Women. We would be honored to play that special role in building your family... and congratulations!

Preventative Health: Services include annual exams, HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening, in-office Bone Density screening, permanent sterilization, and all other forms of contraception. We also proudly offer the Preventest, only requiring a saliva sample for the detection of cancer genes such as Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome.

Gynecologic Care: The Women’s Clinic of South Texas has been at the forefront in providing the most up-to-date Gynecologic are for decades. Treatments include minimally invasive surgery for pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and infertility. We also have extensive experience in the surgical and nonsurgical management for female incontinence/pelvic organ prolapse including Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, anti-incontinence surgery, in office cystoscopy, and treatments with medication. Hormone replacement therapy and treatments for sexual dysfunction are also offered.

Laboratory Services: Includes free Urine Pregnancy Testing and in house blood draw with analysis for certain tests. We offer genetic cancer screening using Preventest, which only requires a saliva sample obtained in the clinic. We conveniently share the same plaza with a DHR Laboratory for any other testing needs.
