Advancing rhinoplasty through education, innovation, and collaboration ✨

Dr. Carlos Ayala had the honor of participating in the Houston Methodist Rhinoplasty Course, alongside an exceptional group of leaders in facial plastic surgery. This included fellows Dr. Caitlin Coviello and Dr. Kieran Boochoon, resident Dr. Arianna Ramirez, and distinguished faculty such as Dr. Angela Sturm, Dr. Anthony E. Brissett — President of AAFPRS, Dr. Jose Barrera — Keynote Speaker, and Dr. Mas Takashima — Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

This advanced course focused on preservation rhinoplasty techniques and ultrasonic rhinoplasty using piezo technology, allowing for more precise bone sculpting, preservation of natural anatomy, and improved functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Through hands-on cadaver labs, ENT residents and facial plastic surgery fellows were trained in both foundational and advanced rhinoplasty techniques—bridging surgical precision with artistry.

We remain committed to staying at the forefront of facial plastic surgery and bringing the latest techniques back to our patients here in the RGV.
