Now that we know how to check if your baby prefers to face one side, what can we do about it?

One of the first steps is changing their environment!

So say your baby always faces the right side and/or has started to develop flatness on the right side of their head... That means they need to look towards the left! And vice-versa.

The same goes for switching which way their head faces in their crib!

I've helped many parents help get to the bottom of these one sided issues, so what questions can I help you with?

Falling can feel really scary for babies!

Sometimes even a fast roll to the side can feel like a rollercoaster 🎒 ➿ So I initially start from sitting with teaching them for to protect themselves forward, side to side, and even backwards! Then work our way into standing. Getting that eccentric squat going helps them really learn to lower themselves slowly to the ground.

Falling, getting back up and trying again is one of the most important lessons we can teach our kiddos πŸ€—

Hope this helps! πŸ₯°

Have you tried this with your little one?

This swing is one of the most used tools in my sensory gym πŸ€— And it can easily be in your living room, too!

Sensory equipment needs to have vestibular input (movement) and proprioceptive input (deep pressure), and this swing checks off both βœ… so whether your kiddos are "sensory seekers" or just need a quiet place to retreat, this will be a hit!

Is your baby using both hands/feet equally when cruising? πŸ€”

The road to walking is built on foundation skills! If your baby hasn't mastered cruising sideways and equal strength pulling to stand yet, slow down.

That bilateral (both-sides) practice creates the necessary balance and confidence. Strong cruisers become strong walkers!

I really didn't expect to make so many yoga ball videos, but I absolutely love using them!

They give so much input and can make hard things seem so fun πŸ€—

Did you know how your baby uses each of these muscle groups?

The yogi baby sit up πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
is helpful for rolling, crawling, and sitting stability!
Roll sideways: engages the obliques (side core).
Roll forward: activates abdominals & neck flexors for the sit-up.
Always hold securely at the hips. Move slowly, follow their lead, and motivate with a toy!

Help your baby sit up! πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
Getting them on a yoga ball helps work toward the big milestone: sitting unsupported πŸ€—

πŸ“Œ Safety First: Always maintain a firm, stabilizing hold on your baby's trunk or chest when using the ball.

Therapy should be fun!!

Our goal is to empower you and your child πŸ₯°β€οΈ Sometimes this takes a few sessions to make sure your child connects and trusts your therapist, but it is worth it! This helps your child meet their goals!
