When the things we rely on fall away, God is reminding us where our true security is found. Even in quiet seasons, He is still working and restoring. Trust Him.

Today’s Gospel — Sunday, February 8, 2026 — Matthew 5:13–16 — “You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world.”

Jesus reveals the identity and mission of His followers: to preserve what is good, to bring healing and meaning, and to shine visibly so that God is glorified. Faith is not meant to be hidden or private. It is meant to be lived openly, transforming the world through love and good works.

A Short Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Jesus does not ask us to become light. He declares that we already are. Light fulfills its purpose by shining, and salt fulfills its purpose by being used. In the same way, faith comes alive when it is lived outwardly.

This is a season of restored clarity and renewed confidence. What once felt diluted is being strengthened. What once seemed dim is being illuminated again. God is restoring competence, purpose, and courage—not for our recognition, but so others may encounter Him through our lives.

From New Age Seeking to New Faith Living:
Many people today are moving from a New Age pursuit of light, energy, and self-empowerment into a deeper and truer faith found in Christ. The Gospel meets this hunger but reshapes it.

The New Age often says, “Find the light within yourself.”
Jesus says, “I am the Light of the world,” and we shine because we belong to Him.

This passage affirms the human longing for healing, illumination, and purpose, but it anchors that longing not in self, striving, or vague spirituality, but in relationship with God. Our light is not self-generated. It is received, restored, and shared through Christ. This is the movement from self-focus to surrender, from searching to belonging, from seeking light to walking in it.

Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You call us salt and light not because of our strength, but because of Your grace.
Restore what has grown weary within us.
Renew our confidence to live faithfully and openly.
Let our lives reflect Your goodness so clearly that others are drawn to You.
Heal what has been scattered and ground us in truth.

May we shine not for ourselves, but for the glory of God.

Healing begins with the spirit. Our spirit shapes our mind, our thoughts, and our physical and emotional bodies. In many New Age teachings, we are told that everything is universal and transcendental, but this belief lacks discernment. It leaves us open to everything without understanding the source. There is a higher source and true light, and being “spiritual” is not the same as knowing who you are following or the path you are walking.

These are the truths that were never taught in the Reiki manuals—insights revealed through lived experience.

My prayer is that the Lord meets each person right where they are…lifting heavy burdens, setting free those who feel trapped, bringing truth to those who are confused, and healing hearts that are hurting. May He expose every lie of the enemy, pour out His healing on the wounded and weary, and bring freedom where there has been bo***ge, light where there was darkness, and restoration to every heart in need!

The Truth They Don’t Talk About

Most people have little understanding of what they are stepping into when they receive Reiki—and many who practice or teach it do not fully grasp what they are engaging with either. There are deeper realities involved that the mainstream Reiki and New Age communities rarely discuss or acknowledge.

From what God has revealed to me, Reiki operates within the third dimension—the same realm where unresolved spiritual and energetic residue exists. At this level, what is commonly labeled as “energy” can include attachments, entities, and influences that remain bound to a lower spiritual plane. Because Reiki functions within this 3D realm, practitioners cannot truly or safely bring healing unless they themselves have risen beyond it.

This is where the danger lies. People often enter Reiki unaware, unprotected, and uninformed, believing it to be harmless or purely beneficial. In reality, it can open spiritual doors they are not prepared to confront or discern. This truth is seldom spoken about, yet it is essential to understand.

Good Morning & Blessed Friday, ✨

I am guided to share truth and light with love and obedience, because there is a widespread misconception about what it truly means to be spiritual. Yes, we are created as spiritual beings—but spirituality alone does not equal holiness. There are only two sources from which all spiritual power flows: light or darkness, good or evil. There is no neutral ground. What matters is not that we are spiritual, but which source we are aligned with.

I was led to Micah 6:8 as confirmation. God has already shown us what is good: to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Him. This is not about appearances, knowledge, or spiritual identity…it is about alignment with truth.

Jesus revealed this fully, showing that true spirituality is not found in power or perception, but in walking in the light of God. Everything flows from that choice.
