In my “holistic healing and wellness” era, I was constantly seeking — new modalities, new practices, new answers — trying to heal myself and help others because I believed I was called to be a Healer.
I immersed myself deeply in that world. I mastered countless techniques, pursued advanced studies toward becoming a board-certified Doctor of Natural Medicine (PhD track), earned certifications in multiple modalities, and even taught various healing practices. I was fully committed. I was disciplined. I was passionate.
But what I didn’t realize at the time was that I was searching for it all within the “new age,” looking everywhere except to the One who is the true source of healing.
There was a season when I searched everywhere for restoration. I was born with a deep desire to restore, to mend, to bring wholeness — yet I was looking outward for something that could only be found in God. The truth is, what I was chasing had been there all along.
When I truly sought God — not just spiritually curious, not just spiritually informed, but fully surrendered — everything changed. I found the freedom I had been longing for. The peace. The clarity. The healing. The true way to Heal & Prosper, in Jesus’ name.
Maybe what we need isn’t more methods, more labels, or more man-made solutions. Maybe what we truly need is a deeper, authentic relationship with Him.
This generation needs to normalize seeking God — not as a last resort, but as the foundation — because that is where real freedom is found.
And when people say, “It’s personal,” sometimes that simply means it’s something that needs to be surrendered.
What we keep private, protect, or take pride in may be the very thing God is asking us to place in His hands. Breakthrough often begins where our control ends.
True healing didn’t come from mastering more techniques. It came from laying everything down and letting God be God.
