Lori’s approach is built on empathy, recognizing that her patients are navigating profound life changes. Through her unique blend of clinical skill and genuine connection, Lori helps patients reclaim their lives and find strength in their recovery journey.

On World Stroke Day, we're proud that our pioneering Stroke-HEART™ program at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute is setting a new standard in recovery care. This innovative program uses modified cardiac rehabilitation to help stroke survivors live healthier, more independent lives with significantly improved function. Our research shows this approach keeps survivors healthier and reduces hospital readmissions, and we're working to make it a national model of care.

Meet Devon, a physical therapist of over a decade at Southern Ocean Medical Center. As a certified lymphedema and PORi breast Cancer rehabilitation therapist, she created and leads a specialized program to support women from diagnosis through all stages of recovery. Devon’s unique approach is centered on education and empowerment, viewing each patient through “oncologic shaded lenses” to anticipate challenges and address the complex physiologic effects of treatment, not just the orthopedic symptoms. A passionate advocate for her patients, she co-founded the EMPOWER virtual lecture series, a free educational program and research study aimed at reducing barriers to care for women with breast cancer. By working closely with the entire oncology team, Devon provides prospective, long-term care that empowers women to gain control and improve their quality of life throughout their journey.

Meet Humberto, a physical therapist at our Manalapan outpatient clinic. Motivated by his own recovery from soccer injuries, he specializes in outpatient orthopedics, treating a wide range of conditions from postoperative total joint replacements and sports injuries to gait, balance and fall prevention. Humberto is also certified in the LSVT BIG® program for patients with Parkinson's disease.

By listening to his patients and collaborating with their doctors, Humberto utilizes the comprehensive resources at Hackensack Meridian Health to help patients return to their pre-injury life. You can schedule a consultation with Humberto in our physical therapy location in Manalapan.
