Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 a.m. — don’t forget to set your clocks one hour ahead and enjoy the extra evening daylight until November! Longer days means more time for family, fresh air, and staying active in our community.
As we adjust our clocks, it’s also a great reminder to reset healthy routines — prioritize sleep, get outside, and take small steps that support your overall well-being.

Here’s to brighter evenings and a fresh start this spring!

This week we celebrate National Dental Assistants Recognition Week (March 1-7) AND National Dentist Day (March 6) — and at JRF, we are beyond grateful for the incredible dental team that cares for our community every single day. 🦷💙

A heartfelt thank you to our two dedicated Dentists — Dr. Vega and Dr. Fortunato — whose expertise, compassion, and commitment to quality care help keep our families smiling with confidence. From routine checkups to restorative care, they serve our community with patience, professionalism, and heart.

We are equally grateful to our two outstanding Dental Assistants, Yisel Cordova and Christy Wallace. They are the steady hands and warm smiles that help create a comfortable, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. From preparing treatment areas and supporting providers to calming anxious patients and ensuring safe, efficient care, so much of what keeps our Health Center running smoothly happens because of them. Their dedication truly strengthens our entire practice.

At the JRF Community Health Center, this work is more than appointments — it’s about trust, dignity, and community care—and we know our patients feel that difference every day.

If you or your family are in need of dental care, we’re here for you!

This Black History Month, JRF AmeriCorps was honored to attend the MLK & Black History Month Assembly at North Brunswick Township High School (NBTHS) on February 12, alongside Board of Education members, town council leaders, county representatives, and NAACP partners.

The assembly honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrated the diversity of the NBTHS community, and recognized those who fought for human and civil rights. Guests were inspired by powerful remarks from Marvin Dent on resilience and personal growth, and from Mildred Scott — the first female Sheriff of Middlesex County and the first African American Sheriff in New Jersey — who reminded students that they are the next generation of history makers.

From vibrant performances by the Black Cultural Alliance, POWER student groups, and the Music Department, to the shared spirit of reflection and pride, the event strengthened community connections and reaffirmed a collective commitment to service.
