Welcome to No Sad Lunches (packing lunch tips from a registered dietitian)

Whether you’re packing for yourself or the whole family, this series is here to make lunch time less stressful and more satisfying.

Quick tips and ideas for meals that won’t come back untouched (or leave you hangry at 3pm).

Starting off with How to Build a Balanced Lunch (Ratios Made Easy)

Not sure what to pack? Use this RD-approved lunch formula every time.

🥦 ½ veggies and fruit (aim for color & variety)
🍗 ¼ protein (animal or plant-based)
🍚 ¼ whole grain or starchy veg
➕ Add healthy fats + flavor (dressing, nuts, avocado, etc.)

Balanced ratios help with energy, digestion, and focus—no mid-afternoon crash here. This is also just a general blueprint, nothing to stress too much over. Ratios can always be altered depending on your individual needs and health goals!

Keep an eye out for more packing tips and ideas to come, for now save this blueprint & follow along for more!
