Perimenopause must do's:

- Pelvic Floor PT
- Strength Training

You can't just "exercise" away perimenopause symptoms BUT you can prevent and stop them in their tracks with Pelvic Floor PT & still strength training/hitting the gym. 💪🏻

This is my passion and my mission. ☝🏼

Your key to health & aging...? A DYNAMIC PELVIC FLOOR. 👏🏼

Finished my last set today and smashed my “funny bone” which is really just blunt trauma to the ulnar nerve. Not funny at all. An hour later and I’m still waiting for full feeling to come back and it hurts.

Had to skip biceps. Honestly my least favorite anyway. Feels like kegels for the arms. Kind of pointless but they make the shoulders look good so we do them for vanity.

Point is this. Injury can happen anytime. Nothing is guaranteed. Do the work while you can. Push while you have the chance. Don’t wait for the perfect moment because your body doesn’t promise you one.

Yes...Having a STRONG CORE is that serious. 🙌🏼

The core is the center of our whole body... and without it functionally properly, it makes aging harder. Core stability and strength is a MUST going into perimenopause and in life in general.

Girls Day at Body Motion '26 🌸

Last week, we hosted a "Girls Day" event at our Edmonds location!
What a beautiful time getting to see some clients, other providers, and women around the area come together for a afternoon of community!

We did bouquet making, lots of yummy treats, and even more laughter! ❤️

Leaking when you jump? Let’s fix that without obsessing over Kegels.

Here are a few simple ways to help keep your pants dry 👇

• Try bladder lifts in a bridge position
• P*e before you start. Just once. Avoid training your bladder to go constantly “just in case” but prior to jumping can help as we retrain the bladder and core
• Stay hydrated. Water actually reduces bladder irritation and urgency
• Aim to have a bowel movement earlier in the day. This reduces pressure on your bladder
• Take a few deep, expansive breaths to open and relax your pelvic floor before you begin

Then start jumping.
Maybe it’s 5 seconds at first, then 10, then 20. Build from there.

While filming this, my bladder definitely started whispering around 40 seconds into my 5th round 😅
That’s fatigue.

This isn’t just about strength. It’s about endurance and coordination.

And no, this is not a Kegel conversation.

True bladder support comes from:
✨ pelvic floor mobility, not just tightening
✨ glutes and deep core working together
✨ breath and pressure control
✨ even your lats play a role

This is why working with a pelvic PT can be a game changer.

Because staying dry isn’t about clenching harder.
It’s about moving smarter.
