The new 2025 Food Pyramid is here... and honestly? It's complicated. 🤷♀️
Let me break it down for you:
✨ THE WINS:
→ More whole foods & less processed junk
→ Protein at every meal (yes!)
→ Fiber finally getting the spotlight it deserves
😬 THE ISSUES:
→ Still pretty high in saturated fat which not everyone
→ Super expensive to follow (hello $7 organic berries and $1 milllion red meat)
→ They removed ALL alcohol guidance and encouraged drinking socially? Yes, I want to party with Dr. Oz?
But here's my take as someone with 10 years in this field:
The pyramid doesn't know YOUR body. It doesn't know:
