We’re proud to recognize Elizabeth Shuffett Richardson of Shuffett’s Adult Day, Inc- EADH as a NAWBO Kentucky EPIC Awards nominee for Woman Business Owner of the Year.

Elizabeth’s journey is rooted in a lifelong calling to serve the elderly, inspired by close relationships with her grandmothers and a deep respect for dignity, compassion, and community. In 2013, she joined her parents in opening Shuffett’s Adult Day Care, helping build what has become a vital resource for families across the region. After the passing of her parents, Elizabeth stepped fully into leadership—honoring their legacy while guiding the organization forward with resilience and heart.

Today, Shuffett’s serves nearly 200 clients and employs 160 team members, the majority of whom are women. Elizabeth leads with a hands-on approach, prioritizing quality care, strong operations, and a supportive workplace that offers competitive wages, benefits, and clear paths for growth. Her leadership extends beyond the business through ongoing community support, youth sponsorships, scholarships, and service initiatives that strengthen the entire community.
