Effective Monday, Dec. 22, we are implementing the following visitor guidelines during respiratory illness season across our HSHS Illinois and Wisconsin hospitals as a precautionary measure for the safety of our colleagues, patients and visitors:

Only two people are allowed to visit a patient at any one time.

Also, please do not visit patients if you:
• Have a cold or any flu-like symptoms including, fever or chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose
• Are under 18 years of age

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

✨Our HSHS St. Anthony's Center for Pediatric Therapy team held a special sensory-friendly Santa event for children who might not be able to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in a typical setting. Many children experience sensory challenges that can make crowded or noisy venues overstimulating. This event gave pediatric patients—and their siblings and parents—precious one-on-one time with Santa and Mrs. Claus to create a truly magical holiday moment. 🎄❤️(Shared with permission of the families.)

Huge thank you to Pizza Man of Effingham Inc. and Jansen's Heating & Air Conditioning for raising funds for our Women’s Wellness Center to support breast cancer survivors. 💗

Pizza Man contributed $600 to the campaign by donating $1 for every large pizza sold on Wednesdays in October through Pizza Man's "Pizza for a Purpose" promotion. Jansen’s not only donated a portion for every service call, indoor air quality product and every new complete HVAC system installation but also matched Pizza Man’s donation dollar-for-dollar for a total donation of $5,005.

Michael Wall, Philanthropy Manager; Ashley Davis, Women's Wellness Nurse; and Anthony Powers, Chief Administrative Officer joined Greg Addis, Pizza Man Owner, and Troy Jansen, Jansen’s Heating & Air Owner and General Manager, at recent check presentations.
