It's been quite a while since a run went well for me.

Injuries, anxiety, life crushing stress of running a failing business while trying to stay positive and never sleeping, can kind of ruin your gains.

Well I closed the business, got a lot of help from my family, a therapist (the brain kind), some medicine (the brain kind) and a new job.

I feel better than I have in years. Am stronger than ever. I'm happy and look forward to helping people again.

I can't thank my wife enough and owe her everything. I love you so much and forever. It took a while for me to find me. I was hiding in the lime tree.

To my amazing daughter: you're the best thing ever and you are loved unconditionally.

Exercise can increase resilience, reduce possibility of pain and improve health. But it can't protect you from an injury...

Exercise can increase resilience, reduce possibility of pain and improve health.

But it can't protect you from an injury or pain if you overdose the exercise, move differently compared to how you usually move (slow vs fast).

We need to stop this kind of thinking.

MRI rarely tell you why you hurt.

They didn't clean your knee, they gave you more arthritis that's smooth and is a painful placebo

Lifting restrictions without damned good reasoning and based on the best evidence are probably hurting you. (Talk to and decide with your best physio before breaking them through)

Marathon plans are at least 9 months to a year for most runners unless you are already in marathon shape.

That's a wrap on brick and mortar for me.

20 years, thousands of patients, lots of learning, knowing when to hold and now when to fold: I pivot to the next journey.

Time to focus on just helping others at home, on track, road, and trails.

Thank you to everybody that joined me along the way.

There are two people that I need to thank specifically:

for always being my hype wife

And

that stuck it out through thick and thin and good and bad and even a global pandemic.

You are my family and I could not have done any of it without you both.

Time to focus on positive posts only.

No more debunking no matter how much I want to.
