Physical Therapy Innovations is a private outpatient physical therapy practice specializing in orthopedic, neurological dysfunctions and sports injuries.

We offer the finest professional team with diverse experience and interests. Our professional team offers clinic and land-based physical therapy in three convenient locations: in El Cerrito, Orinda and Oakland. Our Aquatic physical therapy program occurs off-site at the Albany Pool. All of our clinics are equipped with a full gym. Additionally, our El Cerrito clinic offers an independent gym program and wellness center. How are we different?:
Physical Therapy Innovations has an excellent reputation in the medical and local community. We are one of the few clinics in the East Bay to offer an advanced Aquatic Therapy program, Pilates-based rehab program and wellness center - all under the supervision of licensed therapists. Aquatic therapy is ideal for chronic and tough to heal conditions (please see our articles In the News). Our Pilates-based conditioning is designed to improve one's flexibility, strength and coordination. Join our Independent Gym and wellness center for a total body conditioning and energizing experience. At Physical Therapy Innovations we offer personalized service by highly experienced therapists, and a custom designed treatment program to enable you to reach your goals safely and effectively. Our Affilations:
We are a member of Physical Therapy Provider Network (PTPN), America's largest network of rehab professionals. Physical Therapy Innovations upholds the same high standards of quality care. We are contracted by the Alta Bates Medical Group and Hills Physician Medical Group to provide outpatient physical therapy to their patients. We are also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). This national professional organization was formed to foster advancements in physical therapy methods, and innovations in the field.

Hello everyone!

We wanted to let you all know that we WILL be OPEN for Memorial Day on May 26th, 2025. All scheduled appointments will be fulfilled that day, and the gym is open for all independent patients. There won't be any changes to our normal operations!

If you have any questions, give us a call Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm, or stop by the office!

Attention Aquatic Physical Therapy Patients: The pool will be closed on Thursday, June 6th. This applies to all Independent Pool program members, as well. The PTI Aquatic Program will resume normal activities on Tuesday, June 11th.

Attention all Aquatic Physical Therapy clients (Independent and scheduled!): The Albany Pool will be closed for maintenance from 4/1/24 - 4/5/24, meaning there will be no Aquatic therapy that week. The normal schedule resumes the following week, with PTI back in the pool on Tuesday April 9th, 2024.

Our pool program has been open for a month now and it's really building steam!! We have all the equipment you could need! Come in, the water's nice!!
