Dr. Dunbar is board certified in Preventive Medicine and Public health. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pacific Union College. Dr. Dunbar then attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where she received her MD degree in 1998. Her belief that many diseases could be prevented by leading a healthy lifestyle led her to pursue a residency in Preventive Medicine. She completed her residency while also completing a Masters of Public Health (MPH) in nutrition. After finishing residency, Dr. Dunbar attended continuing medical education programs focused on lifestyle medicine and bioidentical hormone therapies (BHRT). She completed the course requirements and received certification in Age Management Medicine from Cenegenics Medical Institute. Dr. Dunbar has been in private practice in the greater Sacramento area since 2008. She says the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the dramatic results that many of her patients experience through a combination of lifestyle changes, hormone optimization, and aesthetic treatments.
