Dr. Hockman has made the decision to retire from Cedar County Memorial Hospital. His retirement marks the conclusion of a decade of dedicated service to our organization and community.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. Hockman for his commitment to patient care and the many contributions he has made during his time at CCMH. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

It's Patient Safety Week! At Cedar County Memorial Hospital, the safety of our patients is priority number one! In fact, we were recently recognized by Missouri Hospital Association for zero hospital associated infections in 2025. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes, but patient safety is a team effort and our patients and their families are included in that team! When patients and families act as part of the team, they share important information, ask questions, and voice concerns. Care teams can explain plans clearly, confirm understanding, and invite feedback. Communication is key to preventing errors and aligning expectations! Thank you to our patients for being part of the patient safety team here at CCMH!

Meet Chandler McKinney, PA-C. She earned her Masters Degree as a Physician Assistant from Missouri State University in 2020 and has worked at CCMH Medical Mall Clinic since 2022. Chandler enjoys working close to home, and serving her community. In her spare time, Chandler enjoys gardening, traveling, painting/crafting, and spending time with family. One of her patients, Ann Jackson, shared that when she sees Chandler she feels like she's her only patient. Ann also stated, "Chandler is very thorough and caring. I believe she has a good heart for her profession. She wants to do what she can to make a person feel better."

Today, we're doing something a little different for our Employee Spotlight, because some teams are just too good to single out one person. Meet (📸L to R) Justin Wallace, Mark Cone, and Manny Robleado - the heart of Plant Operations & Maintenance! 💪

These three have been nominated for this spotlight by multiple departments across the hospital, and honestly, it's no surprise. They show up every day (and sometimes at night too) to make sure our facility is safe, functional and welcoming for our patients, visitors, and staff. Our hospital simply wouldn't run without them.
