“SWEETER AS THE YEARS GO BY!!”

Today we have the great honor or celebrating James and Ruth Leonard as we recognize their 64th wedding anniversary!! They were married the day after her 18th Birthday in the home of longtime El Dorado Springs clergyman Rev. Ralph Marcum - James commented that is was a “formal wedding” - you see - the Bride’s father brought a “White Shotgun” - my guess is everything ran pretty smoothly!! Such great memories for such a great couple!! Congratulations you two!!!

HAPPY 94th BIRTHDAY VERA!!! YOU’RE SUCH A BLESSING AROUND HERE!!

It may have been snowy and cold today - but it was a good day for a party anyway!! Vera Bourland is now 94 years young and we had a nice crowd on hand this afternoon to celebrate her - she often plays the piano for us and she loves to read, so you’ll see her in the lobby regularly with a book in her hand!! She’s small but mighty!! You know dynamite comes in small packages - Right!!? Hope you enjoyed your day Vera!!

Another friendly battle yesterday between KC Chiefs fans Kathy and Richard vs Scott for the Dallas Cowboys - - - well Scott, you got a little revenge this time!! Kathy and Richard - you two look great anyway despite the Chiefs loss!! Great sportsmanship around this CMH “family”!! Thanks guys - for making things fun for everyone!!

SO - A BET IS A BET AND A MAN HAS TO KEEP HIS WORD…RIGHT?!

Last week a friendly “bet”between Richard and Kathy for the Kansas City Chiefs and Scott who is a Indianapolis Colts fan and “it was on” here at Community Springs - I’m guessing from the photo you can determine the winners - all smiles and clean faces!! - So you see - if the Chiefs gained the victory, Scott had to paint his face in Chiefs colors - and doesn’t he look just fabulous??? In the meantime, Mr Cadle, another Colts fan who attended the game to see the Colts lose 😂😂 - arrived this morning to find his door decorated for the Chiefs victory - but he just can’t help but point out the Colts record compared to the Chiefs!! Okay - we’ll give him that - but the season is hardly over!!! Thanks guys for the great sportsmanship!!

“MINI MARGARITAVILLE” - YES PLEASE!!

We thought today would be a great day to enjoy some Chips and Dip - and Sip a Margarita while enjoying the KC Chiefs vs the Indianapolis Colts game - Mr Cadle is a huge Colts fan - we try hard to not hold that against him!!!
Chiefs win 23-20 in OT!!! Go Chiefs!!!

HEY - FAMILY AND FRIENDS YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN US ON THANKSGIVING DAY!!!

Scott and our Dietary Crew will be working overtime on Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 27 as they cook a feast for our residents and staff - and they always plan extra for Family and Friends that would like to join their loved ones that day!! So plan to join us - serving begins at 11:30 - and the cost of the meal will be $7.00 - and tickets may be purchased in advance at the Front Office during office hours(8am-4 pm) but no need to RSVP as there’s always extra - but we do ask that if you arrive on Thanksgiving Day you please bring correct change to simplify things! Here’s our menu - and we hope to see you!!!
Turkey and Ham - Mashed Potatoes and Gravy - Dressing -Green Bean Casserole - Cranberry Sauce - Rolls - lots of pie to choose from.
