Can an opioid overdose occur in a fully conscious AWAKE tummy tuck? How does this compare to a Tummy Tuck done under General Anesthesia? Narcotics are relatively contraindicated in AWAKE cosmetic surgery since they augment the potency of the narcotic and slow down the metabolism of lidocaine which can lead to both a narcotic overdose and lidocaine overdose. We do not use narcotic in AWAKE lipoabdominoplasty aka Tummy tuck.

Cesarean Awareness Month (CAM) was created by the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) to promote Awareness regarding the risks and potential complications associated with Cesarean section, especially in an environment where there are no many unnecessary Cesarean Section and the lack of support for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section (VBAC).

For Office Based Anesthesia (OBA) procedure aka, fully conscious surgery, Demerol is not used in a newborn circumcision without monitoring by a qualified doctor for Level 3 procedures. Injectable lidocaine does not have systemic effects and lasts less than 1-2 hours. Demerol given to a newborn at volumes similar to Lidocaine may be between 10-100mg depending on percentage and volume. A baby brought back hours after a circumcision with signs of lethargy, drowsiness or somnolence are all signs of medication overdose with immediate transfer to a hospital for evaluation, not advising the parents to give the medication more time to wear off.

"I just want a little fat removed from my belly button area." Do you think it's going to be alot?

Me: About 1500cc of fat. A little more than a 2 liter of Coke or Pepsi including fluid.

Final calculation: 1425ml of abdominal fat removed in less than 1 hour. Patient fully AWAKE during procedure. Can get back to the gym in 2 days.

PART 2: I don't recommend staples for Cesarean section incision closure. They are painful to remove and generally are inferior to suture and Dermabond.

If you are a male Ski Jumper and want a litttle or alot extra in your suit, hyaluronic acid aka Lip Fillers can be placed in the male shaft to double its girth. As a cosmetic OBGYN, I perform Cesarean Sections and at a later date, TummyTuck, Myofascial Plication and repair of diastasis recti. In order to improve the appearance of the abdomen after Cesarean section and reduce the risk of permanent abdominal muscle separation and "post baby belly" I recommend the reapproximation of the abdominal muscles during a Cesarean section. bones 🧟‍♀️
