Im a huge advocate on incorporating s*x toys into solo and partnered fun so here is a basic guide to cleaning your s*x toys!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
An important point to focus on is the material that your toys are made of. They can be broken down into porous materials like cyber skin, various forms of plastics, and rubber and non-porous materials such as: glass, steel, metal, and silicon. This is a good starting point when determining how to clean your toys. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Please be aware that when it comes to any form of porous materials, the small holes can be a perfect environment for bacteria to grow and thrive in. Also,please be mindful of toys that are not waterproof and/or battery operated because submerging them in water can damage them.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Now to begin,⁣⁣
⁣⁣Most toys can be washed by simply using warm water and unscented soap for about 20-30 seconds and make sure you get all areas of a toy. Toys that are made of steel, silicon, metal, and glass can even be boiled for a few minutes. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Because any type of rubber is porous and can be hard to clean, I recommend using condoms over these types of toys. If condoms are not available, go ahead and wash with warm water and unscented soap as some soaps may contain harmful irritants and can disrupt ph levels if going into a va**na. Always check the ingredients on something you plan to clean with. You can even use toy cleaners that have been specifically designed for s*x toys. Now, when it comes to storing, ensure that your toys are nice and dry before puting away certain types of bacteria cannot live long on dry surfaces.
⁣⁣
For storage, you can use the bags or containers the toys initially came in or you can also get a plastic container with a cover to store them in. If left out, dirt and dust can be an issue and with that being said, I recommend washing your toys again before play time. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
One last thing to remember is to wash your toys after any form of a**l play and avoid swapping toys between partners before thoroughly washing to avoid the transmission of an STI.

Censorship is common across all social media platforms
However, a double standard exists when it comes to a woman's ni***es. ⁣
⁣
The belief that is commonly held is that it is "inappropriate"big they can be seen even if it's through a shirt which continues to promote the narrative behind objectification. ⁣
⁣
Where is the equality in that? This is a tough topic for many, but for those that march towards equality-please remember that diversity needs to be emphasized and that all are included and not just those that the media deems as "attractive." ⁣

Have you ever noticed that when you are not happy within a relationship your s*x life suffers? That is because s*x usually brings people together and when feeling angry it is difficult to be in sync. ⁣
⁣
We at times also neglect our mental well-being and forget how this can hurt our desire to even want to have solo or partnered s*x. ⁣
⁣
If you are upset, annoyed, frustrated or stressed, take the time to communicate this with your partner/s. Expecting them to mind read can be a set back. Practice making your needs and wants known and understand that patience and self compassion is important when working on this.

So much information is pushed out that we often automatically believe what we hear and see. However, it is important to remain curious and continue to ask questions.⁣
⁣
So what is the h***n? It is a thin membranous tissue near the opening of the va**na that is formed during embryonic development. Now how much is left behind varies and it can take on various shapes such as annular, crescentric,septate, cribriform, or micro-perforate. Some can even be fully obstructed known as an imperforate h***n which can be treated with a minor surgery.⁣
⁣
A common yet harmful misconception is that many believe that the h***n is "torn" or "broken" during initial pe*******on (p***s into va**na) that results in bleeding. Some cultures even use this to determine if someone is in fact a "virgin." However, this is not the case.⁣
⁣
A h***n is known to stretch and thin throughout the developmental process and even through daily activities such as riding a bike or when a tampon is inserted. Some va**na owners might not even have one and that is totally fine. ⁣
⁣
We must work against beliefs that place an emphasis on virginity=purity. Having s*x is not a matter of "losing" something, but rather an empowering experience that should be celebrated. ⁣

Let's rewrite the narrative that having multiple s*xual encounters makes you less valuable or "dirty.". We should not measure someone by how they choose to live out their s*xuality.
