We provide comfort, care, hope and choice to patients at the end of life's journey while guiding their loved ones through the grieving process.

Hospice El Paso is a nonprofit organization and El Paso's oldest and largest hospice. We provide medical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families in El Paso County. Care is provided at home, foster homes, in nursing facilities or at Hospice El Paso’s beautiful new in-patient facility, the Center For Compassionate Care-West.

Studies show that pet therapy in a hospice setting can significantly improve a patient's quality of life by providing a non-judgmental source of affection and helping to ground them in the present moment.

Social work in hospice is about so much more than you might think—it’s about providing peace of mind and the resources families need to live well.
After a morning spent visiting with her patients, Anabel stopped by to see our partners at Perches Funeral Home. We truly value our long-standing relationship with Perches; working together allows us to provide a seamless circle of support for El Paso families, ensuring they are cared for with dignity from the very first day of our service through every step that follows. 🤝
Anabel’s "office" is the entire El Paso community. She works daily to connect families to vital resources, such as arranging respite care to give a hardworking family caregiver a much-needed break to rest and recharge.

When care becomes a calling. 🦋📖

We often talk about the impact of hospice care, but this message truly shows the "why" behind our mission.

We recently received a heartfelt email from a student who shared that the care and support our team provided her family years ago sparked a new calling in her life. Because of the impact our Director of Social Services, Yvette Perez, had on her during a difficult chapter, she was inspired to pursue a career in Social Work. 🧡⛏️

Knowing that the comfort we provide today inspires the healers of tomorrow is the greatest reward we could ask for. We are incredibly proud of our team and so moved to see our families out in the community making a difference of their own.
