We provide comfort, care, hope and choice to patients at the end of life's journey while guiding their loved ones through the grieving process.

Hospice El Paso is a nonprofit organization and El Paso's oldest and largest hospice. We provide medical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families in El Paso County. Care is provided at home, foster homes, in nursing facilities or at Hospice El Paso’s beautiful new in-patient facility, the Center For Compassionate Care-West.

Having worked in hospice care for the past 5 years, Irene deeply values the trust families place in our team during challenging times. She is the bridge between our community and the care they need, providing openness and responsiveness from the very first hello. 💜

As the first clinical point of contact for many families, Ana is the Master of Logistics and Compassion. She’s the one who turns a complex transition into a clear, comforting path forward. Whether she’s answering tough medical questions or providing much-needed clarity during an initial assessment, Ana ensures that every patient enters our care feeling seen, safe, and supported.

One of the things Ana loves about her job is being able to travel throughout El Paso and step into people's homes. Even though the circumstances are often unique, she considers it a privilege to be welcomed into their personal space and to assist them in any way she can, with professionalism and respect.

Her role is the bridge that brings families peace of mind from day one, ensuring that no one has to walk the start of this journey alone. 💜

Congratulations to our friends at The Children’s Grief Center of El Paso (), which celebrated the opening of their new bereavement facility in Central El Paso on February 25. The new Braden’s Home of Hope will provide support for children, teenagers, and their families grieving the death of a loved one. Services include peer support groups, individual therapy, and grief-informed training for educators and mental health professionals. Our team was privileged to join in the celebrations of this wonderful milestone.

A Message of Gratitude: Kenia’s Legacy of Kindness 🦋✨

Out of deep gratitude for the community that helped answer her wish, Kenia’s family has asked us to share this update. It is with heavy hearts, yet spirits full of pride, that we honor the life and memory of our beloved Butterfly patient, Kenia.

Kenia taught our entire city what it truly means to give. When asked for her "Butterfly Wish," her thoughts weren’t for herself—they were for the children of El Paso. Because of her beautiful heart and your overwhelming response, children in need across our community received toys and joy during the holiday season. She chose to turn her own journey into a mission of hope and smiles for others.

While Kenia has passed away, her light continues to shine through every life she touched and every act of kindness she inspired. At Hospice El Paso, we were privileged to walk alongside her and help bring her selfless vision to life.
