Today is a bittersweet day for all of us at Volar CIL. As we gathered for our monthly employee birthday celebration, this time mine we also shared a moment of reflection and emotion. After twenty five years of dedicated service as our Office Manager, Thelma Dunn has chosen to begin a well earned retirement.
All of us at the Volar Center for Independent Living want to express our deepest gratitude to Thelma for her unwavering commitment, her kindness, and her many years of service to our consumers. She has been not only a remarkable co worker but also an essential part of our Volar family.
We wish Thelma a very happy, fulfilling, and joyful retirement. May this next chapter bring her all the wonderful things she deserves.

Mientras nos reuníamos para nuestra celebración mensual de cumpleaños de empleados, esta vez el mío también compartimos un momento de reflexión y emoción. Después de veinticinco años de servicio dedicado como nuestra Gerente de Oficina, Thelma Dunn ha decidido comenzar un merecido retiro.
Todos en el Volar Centro para Vida Independiente queremos expresar nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a Thelma por su inquebrantable compromiso, su amabilidad y sus muchos años de servicio a nuestros consumidores. Ha sido no solo una compañera de trabajo extraordinaria, sino también una parte esencial de nuestra familia de Volar CIL.

Today, Thursday, November 13, 2025 start the funeral services of a great human being, highly inteligent, kind, hard and responsible worker, disability rights advocate and an amazing friend. Joseph (Joey) Acosta you will be greatly missed by your Volar Center for Independent Living family. You are finally in company of your beautiful and sweet wife Diana. Rest in peace 🙏 my good friend.
