"I'm too young to worry about heart disease".
"I'll know when I'm having a heart attack, because I'll have chest pain".
"Diabetes won't threaten my heart, as long as I take my medication".
"The pain in my legs must be a sign of aging, I'm sure it has nothing to do with my heart".
"I should avoid exercise, after having a heart attack".

Critical Pediatric Burn Facts:
•The Daily Toll: Every day, more than 300 children are treated in emergency rooms for burn-related injuries in the U.S.
•The "Scald" Factor: Nearly 75% of burns in children under age five are caused by hot liquids, steam, or tap water (scalds), rather than fire.
•Risk Level: Children under five are twice as likely to be treated for a burn in an emergency department compared to the general population.
•Leading Threat: Fires and burns are the fifth leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children and adolescents ages 1 to 19.

Carry items in your vehicle to handle common winter driving-related tasks,
and supplies you might need in an emergency, including:
• Snow shovel, broom, and ice scraper;
• Abrasive material such as sand or kitty litter, in case your vehicle gets
stuck in the snow;
• Jumper cables, flashlight, and warning devices such as flares and
emergency markers;
• Blankets for protection from the cold;
• A cell phone with charger,
• Food and any necessary medicine (for longer trips or when driving in
lightly populated areas).
