In college, students with disabilities have the right to request reasonable accommodations — all thanks to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Join us for Education Savings Accounts 101, a free webinar on school vouchers with Colleen Potts, Disability Rights Texas on Tuesday, March 3rd at 12:15 pm.

Register today at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_VXwMO5ZdR3qrawsA9Tgiwg

This presentation helps Texas parents of students with disabilities understand what Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) are, how they work, and what they may mean for their child’s education. We’ll cover who is eligible, what expenses ESAs can be used for, how ESAs differ from special education services provided through public schools, and important considerations for families weighing this option.

The goal is to provide parents with straightforward, unbiased information so they can make informed decisions that best support their child’s individual needs.

✨ FUN FACT FRIDAY ✨

Did you know that positive thinking can actually help you live longer?

Research shows that people with an optimistic outlook on life tend to live longer and have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and chronic illness. One major study even found that the most optimistic individuals had a significantly higher chance of living past 85.

Why?

Positive thinking can:
• Lower stress hormones
• Improve heart health
• Strengthen the immune system
• Help you cope better during hard seasons

And let’s be real, raising kids, navigating IEPs, therapies, medical needs, and life in general requires resilience.

Choosing optimism doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means believing that challenges can be faced and that growth is still possible.

Your mindset matters. 💛
Your hope matters.
And yes it can even impact your health.
