Did you know sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in student athletes??

El Paso Children’s Hospital is hosting FREE cardiac screenings and sports physical evaluations for our region’s young athletes on Saturday, May 30th.

These screenings help detect underlying heart conditions and ensure athletes are healthy for competition.

If you’re between 11–17 years old and active in sports, this event is for you!

April is National Donate Life Month. 💚

At El Paso Children’s Hospital, new honorees were added to the Wall of Heroes, to celebrate the incredible children and families who made the selfless decision to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Among the stars, is 6-year-old Hector Carrasco, a bright light whose love, joy, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone around him.

His family shares that while his six years here were unforgettable, his impact didn’t end there, it lives on in the lives he helped save.

Today is a very special milestone for our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at El Paso Children’s Hospital.

We are officially recognized as a Level 3 Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.

Becoming a Level 3 center means we have the expertise and infrastructure to provide advanced, comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment for children with complex epilepsy right here at home. For a region like ours, this is more than an accomplishment, it’s access, equity, and hope for families who need specialized care close to home.

We are beyond proud of our team and grateful to be part of something truly unique, the first of its kind in our region, making a real difference in pediatric care.
