Military Veteran Peer Network (El Paso, Texas)

Military Veteran Peer Network (El Paso, Texas) EHN is establishing a group of specially trained peer counselors to work with service members, spouses and children of all ages

The MVPN provides support for servicemembers, Veterans and their families through one on one peer support, peer support groups, trainings (suicide prevention/awareness, mental health first aid, military cultural competency), community resources.... Military Liaison Program
In February of 2009, the Center created its Military Liaison Program to assist in coordinating services for military service members and their families and in establishing behavioral health service linkages with veterans groups and the military support community. When veterans, military service members or dependents come to an EHN facility, they will work with a Military Liaison who has been trained to meet their unique needs. When dealing with mental health conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), interaction and information sharing with an individual who is coping with similar experiences can often alleviate difficult situations.

Empowering Communities: The Impact of Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is more than just an educational program; it is a vital community intervention that bridges the gap between the onset of a mental health challenge and the engagement of professional support.

Much like traditional CPR training, MHFA equips everyday citizens with the skills to recognize and respond to a crisis, potentially saving lives and fostering a more compassionate society.

FREE Clothing, shoes for anyone in Need-Please share!

Please Share with anyone who may be in need-

Recker's Outreach has received several generous Amazon donations of new footwear for men, women, and children, as well as some toiletries and clothing. If you know of anyone who may be in need please direct them to Samantha. Her contact info is below!

For coordination of pickup/delivery or any further inquiries, please contact Samantha Recker at (915) 275-9916 or via email at srecker@reckersoutreachllc.com.

A little bit about SFC Recker and her mission-

Founded in 2023, Recker’s Outreach was born from a deep commitment to serve those who have served our country (as she currently does and has done for almost 20 years!). After witnessing the struggles many Veterans face after returning home—particularly those who experience homelessness—Samantha set out to create an organization that offers more than temporary solutions.

Recker’s Outreach provides a rapid re-housing opportunity, offering fully furnished studio apartments to homeless Veterans in the local area. This allows them to establish a home address, regain stability, and begin rebuilding their lives. They are not a facility—she is a launching point for hope and long-term success. Samantha also leads a group of local youth who may need mentors, guidance or have truancy issues. This youth group assists in community beatification-elderly, disabled, veterans are priority.

Samantha, her family and the youth group do A LOT for the El Paso community!
