Giving back is part of who we are. This holiday season, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare colleagues came together to support our community—partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso, donating turkeys to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, and providing backpacks and supplies to children at the El Paso Crisis Center.
Because caring for our community goes beyond hospital walls.

A positive pregnancy test can bring a mix of emotions—and a lot of questions. Your first prenatal appointment is an important step in supporting a healthy pregnancy for both you and your baby.

At your first visit, you can expect to:

• Confirm your pregnancy with a urine or blood test
• Review your medical history and lifestyle habits
• Complete a prenatal exam
• Ask questions about symptoms, nutrition, exercise, and next steps

Regular prenatal care helps provide guidance, reassurance, and confidence throughout your pregnancy journey.

Safe sleep practices are one of the most important ways to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and help babies sleep safely.

Here are key reminders for safe sleep:
• Always place baby on their back for every nap and bedtime
• Use a firm, flat mattress in a safety-approved crib
• Keep the crib free of blankets, bumpers, toys, and pillows
• Share a room, not a bed
• Dress baby in a sleep sack or footed pajamas to stay warm

If you have pediatric questions or concerns, our 24/7 Consult-A-Nurse® line is available anytime at (844) 706-8773 or (844) 70-NURSE.

The holiday season can put added strain on heart health. According to the American Heart Association, more heart attacks occur between late December and early January than any other time of year.

As part of HCA Healthcare, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare supports lifesaving education through our collaboration with the American Heart Association—including Hands-Only CPR, a simple technique anyone can learn.

Knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life.
