VeMiDoc is the medical technology behind this project. We are connecting patients and healthcare providers, collecting, and analyzing the health data of the migrant population.

VeMiDoc is a mobile health app whose aim is to improve the medical outcomes of communities like El Paso. We are based in El Paso, Texas. We are trying to play our role in serving the under served. With funding from Hope Border Institute and Doctors of the World, volunteer physicians and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center provide free health care to migrants, immigrants and asylum seekers.

The initial funders include the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation, El Paso Water, Paul L. Foster, El Paso Electricl, Texas Gas Service Service, WestStar Bank and Transtelco.

Thursday morning, the COVID-19 Enhanced Regional Public Health Response Partnership announced major funders for the initiative, building a foundation for the public-private partnership that is strengthening the region's collective capacity to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, UnitedHealthcare will reimburse claims for telehealth services for service dates from March 18 until June 18.
