Izzy finally has her kidney!!! But she is needing everyone's help right now. She is not able to work since she just had the surgery. She is able to keep her job and take the time off. However, because she was only able to work a couple days a week before the surgery due to her dialysis, she did not have enough hours worked for FMLA to give her paid time off. She is not receiving any income from her job right now and needs us to help her out while she heals and gets her life back on track! Hey everyone...I know it has been awhile! However, Izzy is still waiting for her kidney and now she has some more procedures that need to be done. This Friday, she is having to get another PET scan and it costs her several hundred dollars out of pocket to get it and it is required. I've been on dialysis now for 1 year and 9 months it's been hard road. They say it's a 3 to 5 year wait for a kidney. Update: Izzy has been on the transplant list for over a year now and is having to redo all of the medical procedures that she had to do to get on the list. She has to do them to keep her place on the transplant list. That being said, all of these procedures cost her out-of-pocket for copays, co-insurance, and deductibles. Last night's prom was a HUGE success!! It was so much fun and we raised about $2,500 for Izzy!! Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make this event so wonderful and so successful! And a big thank you to everyone who came last night, bought raffle tickets, donated and supported Izzy!!
