February is Heart Health Awareness Month, a great reminder that small, intentional changes can make a big impact on your cardiovascular wellness. Simple habits like choosing heart-healthy foods, staying active, prioritizing sleep, and understanding your key health numbers can all help reduce your risk of heart disease and support long-term health.

Heart health doesn’t require drastic changes, it starts with one step at a time. If you want support assessing your blood pressure, cholesterol, or overall heart health, we’re here to help. 💙

Matthew Landry, assistant professor of population health and disease prevention, walks us through the American Health Association’s Life’s Essential 8 to help lower your risk of cardiovascular disease.

The start of a new year often brings changes to insurance plans, formularies, and coverage. It is also one of the best times to review your medications and make sure everything you are taking is still right for you.

A medication review can help:
• Prevent unwanted side effects
• Catch interactions between prescriptions
• Adjust doses if your health needs have changed
• Make sure your medications are still covered by your plan

If you are taking multiple prescriptions or started something new recently, a quick check-in can make a big difference.

Start the year informed and confident in your care.
