Last night when all of the kiddos had left, we all sat around and talked about how much we enjoyed their company. I told them they were free to go back to their room and little did I know they wanted to stay in the lobby a little longer. We had the best conversations and even asked for Mrs. Sheila to play the piano so we could enjoy some of our favorite songs. I’m so thankful that I was able to capture this sweet moment on camera. These ladies will never know how special they are to me.

Sometimes life gets busy, and in the midst of it all, we forget just how powerful the presence of children can be especially to our older generation.

Tonight was a beautiful reminder.

The laughter, the innocence, the pure joy… and the light they carry so naturally filled our hearts and our lobby.

Watching these children let their light shine through their love for Jesus was nothing short of a blessing.

Thank you, First Baptist Church, for pouring into our community tonight and allowing these precious children to share their light with our residents.

Moments like these don’t need many words just watch the video and see the joy, the smiles, and the love that filled Serenity South this evening.

Sometimes the smallest voices make the biggest impact. ✨

This is a gentle reminder to everyone who adopted a resident that all gifts must be delivered by Friday, December 19, 2025.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you who chose to participate.

Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to give have helped make this Christmas brighter and more meaningful for our residents.

Because of you, joy is being shared, smiles are being made, and the true spirit of the season is alive and well. Wishing you all a holiday filled with warmth, love, and blessings.

Well… our night didn’t go quite as planned!

We were so excited and ready to ride in the vintage car for the parade, but just our luck as we were pulling off, the car decided it wasn’t going anywhere!

A huge thank you to Kenneth and Katrina Calhoun for going above and beyond decorating the car and having it completely parade ready when we arrived. Your hard work didn’t go unnoticed, and it looked absolutely beautiful!

We may have missed this parade in the vintage car, but we’re not giving up we’re already looking forward to the next one, where our Queens will finally get their moment to shine, until then the ol Honda was just fine.

We have 14 wonderful Residents, each with their own beautiful personality and story. In the comments, you’ll find each Resident listed simply choose one (or more!) to “adopt.” You can adopt a Resident more than once, and all gifts will be shared with so much love and gratitude.
