Our Caregiver Team, Student Analyst, and BCBAs, were able to attend the ALABA 2025. Where they presented Building Caregiver Coordination poster along side 3 other posters from Beacon of Hope. Lots of networking opportunities happened throughout the two days of the conference. They also had the chance to recieve updates from the BACB and new research.
They can’t wait to get back in the clinics and use everything they learned.

Today was all about growth, learning, and moving forward together.

Our annual staff training gave us the chance to go over so many of the vital pieces that keep Beacon running strong — the things that make sure we’re delivering the highest quality, most compassionate ABA services for our clients and families.

We walked away with new knowledge, fresh ideas, and a stronger sense of how important each person on this team truly is. Our staff really are the prize — the ones who make the mission come to life every single day.

📚✨ Training Day at Elba! ✨📚

Today our team came together at the Elba Training Facility for an amazing session on Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT).

These approaches are so important in ABA—helping us better understand challenging behaviors and build meaningful, functional skills with compassion and effectiveness. 🌟

We are truly lucky to have received this training directly from our CEO, making the experience even more powerful. It was such an amazing time of growth, learning, and connection for our team! 💛💙

Introducing our Parent Coordinator Team

At Beacon, our Parent Coordinators serve as vital liaisons between caregivers and our clinical team, ensuring that families feel consistently supported, informed, and empowered in their child’s behavioral development journey. In the context of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), this role is critical: research shows that caregiver involvement and consistency across environments significantly increase the success of ABA interventions. Our Parent Coordinators guide families in applying behavioral strategies at home and in the community, focusing on the development of social, adaptive, and daily living skills tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Beyond behavior strategies, Parent Coordinators are also committed to enhancing caregiver self-awareness and promoting self-care—both of which are essential for sustaining long-term progress. They work collaboratively with families to foster an environment of growth, empathy, and resilience.

This essential work is led by Kayla Craig, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in child care and family support services. Kayla brings not only deep expertise but also a genuine passion for family-centered care. Under her leadership, our team of Parent Coordinators is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
