Update #17

Where do I begin??!!
I am so overwhelmed and over joyed.

I met with the Oncologist today for my results of the scan and the new plan.

He said that my scan was clear. No evidence of the cancer at all!!! Praise Jesus and God is great!!! I think I am still in shock, I knew God had me and all the prayers you all have been saying!! 💗💗

I will have to go for a scope and then because I have a gene mutation (which explains why I've had cancer twice in my 40's) he would like to do the immunotherapy for a year if my body will cooperate, darn rash. Lol. I will see him in a month and we will go from there. I still have a month of steroids but so much less than before. I am in awe of how great my God is and the miracle he worked.

Update #16

God is good!!
The prayers and steroids worked! The rash is much better! I get to step down to a lower dose! Maybe I'll be able to sleep 😴 lol. I get rescanned next Friday and then we will make a plan on Tuesday the 10th! Thank you all for the love, prayers and support from family and friends. I know I wouldn't make it thru all of this without it. 💗💗

Update #15

Slight set back - Need those prayers!!
Well I was supposed to go for my 4th treatment today but I have this rash from the immunotherapy drugs. They had to put the treatment on hold and I have to take some high dose steroids. Here's to not sleeping for the next week. Lol.

The emotional roller-coaster that is cancer is no fun. The second you think you know what's happening, it changes.

I had a moment of break down and then I thought. God has this and his plan is the right one. Plan's change, just keep your head up!

Update # 14

I had my immunotherapy treatment on Tuesday and met with the oncologist. They said I can try to go back to work part time! So I am going to try next week!! I will have to take off the weeks I have treatment because it wears me out! I can't say enough thank you's for all the prayers and the support. I have felt so loved. I still need the prayers because this is going to be a long journey. I go March 6th to get my bext PETScan. That will let us know how the treatments are working!!

We will be calling and getting everyone scheduled or pick up on your schedule already made. Please be patient with us!

Immunotherapy infusion #2 . We get to see how this one goes and then the doctor will discuss if I get to go back to work!! Hoping for February!! My driver Pamela Fay patiently waiting. 😆

Update #12

I have been quiet the last week because I bought whatever is going around and have been resting and medicating. Lol. I am feeling much better, now to get the rest of this cough gone! Those viruses are no joke! I have stayed away from everyone but still got it. 😩 I go back next Tuesday for my second immunotherapy treatment. I then will meet witht the oncologist to see how I am doing and talk about when I can go back to work!! I miss seeing all your beautiful faces and hope to see you within the month, fingers crossed!! Keep the prayers coming, somedays it's all my comfort!

Update #11

Feeling Blessed and overwhelmed!!

I was going to post my Tuesday chemo picture but when I met with my oncologist before chemo he had a surprise for me. After genetic testing on the tumor, he is switching me to immunotherapy. That means no more chemo or radiation or even possibly no surgery!!! They are going to make my immune system super strong and let it kill the cancer/tumor on its own. This is awesome news, because I will have less side effects and complications! Every time I think I know the plan, boom here comes another one. But this one is awesome and God is so good. All the prayers are being heard and are working.

Update #10.

It's been a good week and I feel almost back to normal, just in time to start over tomorrow! 🤪 My mom and sister were in town for week and that helped a lot physically and mentally!

Things I'm learning...

- Cancer makes you cry at everything lol
- The people, whether it be in person or on facebook, in my life are so amazing and awesome!! I couldn't make it through all this without the continued support.
- The love in my world is growing by the second. I am so blessed.
- My husband and family are awesome !!
- I am trying to be a good patient 😌..... lol

Update #9

Had a rough Friday and Saturday with nausea and pain. Mouth sores are no joke! Thank God for Randy and Laurie!! They got me through it. Turned a corner and am just back to being tired but better. My mom, sister and niece were able to come down from Missouri to help this week! Thank you all for the blessings and prayers.
