Help Eldon Drug Ensure Accessible Diabetic Care for Our Community!

At Eldon Drug Medical Equipment, we're passionate about providing our community with the resources they need to manage their diabetes effectively. This includes access to specialized diabetic footwear, which can dramatically improve quality of life and prevent serious foot complications.

Unfortunately, many of our patients with United Healthcare (UHC) face significant challenges accessing this vital care. Due to UHC's network limitations, patients are sometimes forced to travel long distances – up to 1.5 hours each way! This can be particularly difficult, even impossible, for individuals with diabetes who may also experience:

- Limited mobility due to neuropathy or foot complications.
- Increased risk of falls due to balance issues.
- Incontinence, making long car journeys highly uncomfortable and impractical.

Furthermore, proper diabetic footwear often requires at least two appointments: one for initial evaluation and fitting, and another for follow-up and adjustments. This can easily double the total travel time to 2-4 hours for a single pair of shoes, placing a significant burden on patients.

By joining the UHC network, Eldon Drug Medical Equipment could significantly improve access to diabetic footwear for these individuals. We could offer:

- Convenient location within your community.
- In-home appointments for those unable to travel easily.
- Expert fitting and ongoing support to ensure proper footwear selection and wear.
