With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we announce that Eldon Drug will no longer be filling retail prescriptions. The last day you can pick up your retail prescription will be November 4th. We will be shifting our focus going forward to compound prescriptions, medical equipment and long term care facilities. As of November 5th all retail prescriptions will be transferred to Gerbes in Eldon.
This was not an easy decision but due to the mounting impact of fees and decreased reimbursements from Pharmacy Benefit Managers and insurance companies we can no longer afford to continue to fill retail prescriptions. This change will also give us the opportunity to slow down and decrease our hours, so we are able to spend more time at home with our families.
Thank you to our loyal customers. Your trust and support have been the cornerstone of our pharmacy over the years. You were not just a name or a number, you have been an integral part of our family. We are deeply grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the moments we’ve shared. Your health and happiness have always been our top priority, and it has been an honor to serve you.
We felt a responsibility to choose the place to send our patients that was capable of continuing the high level of care they deserve. We believe Gerbes commitment to community healthcare will provide the best ongoing support for our patients. We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for our customers. We have partnered with Gerbes to ensure continuity of care. Your prescription records will be securely transferred to Gerbes on November 5th.
We know this may be shocking news and confusing but know that this decision was not easy or made in haste. We will truly miss our retail pharmacy customers. Once again we thank you for your loyalty over the years and we are looking forward to a new beginning at Eldon Drug.

Call Gerbes pharmacy at 573-392-7336 after 11/5 and they will have all of you prescription data. They will be able to refill your prescription.
