In March 2022, the World Health Organization shared something important: hearing loss is increasing among young people ages 12–35. 🎧

To help protect hearing at concerts and other loud events, they introduced new safety standards focused on keeping sound enjoyable without causing damage… things like limits on overall volume, monitoring sound levels, improving acoustics, offering hearing protection, providing quiet rest areas, and making sure staff are trained on safe sound practices.

The goal is simple: help people enjoy live music AND protect their long-term hearing health.

Do you have any concerts coming up soon? Tell us in the comments! 👇

May is Better Hearing Month!
Did you know that untreated hearing loss isn’t just an ear issue — it’s a brain issue too?

Research shows that hearing loss can increase your risk of cognitive decline, memory problems, and even dementia. That’s because your brain works harder to fill in the gaps when it can’t clearly hear, taking resources away from other important tasks like remembering and processing information.

The good news? Treating hearing loss early with hearing aids or other solutions can help protect your brain and improve your overall quality of life.

This May, take care of your hearing and your brain. Schedule a hearing evaluation with Eldon Family Hearing and take the first step toward better hearing and a healthier mind.

Call us today — your brain will thank you!

When it comes to fitting hearing aids, precision is key! That’s why at Eldon Family Hearing, we use Real Ear Verification (REV) to ensure your hearing aids are programmed just right for your unique needs. But why is this step so important?

🔍 What is Real Ear Verification?
REV measures how your hearing aids perform while in your ears. Everyone’s ear canal shape and size are different, and this can affect how sound is delivered. With REV, we ensure your devices are fine-tuned based on your anatomy.

🔊 Why is it Important?
Without REV, hearing aids may not deliver the correct amplification, leaving you with either too much or too little sound. REV makes sure that you’re getting the exact level of amplification your hearing loss requires, maximizing comfort and clarity.

💡 Better Hearing, Better Life
Accurate settings mean clearer conversations, better speech understanding, and more enjoyment of the world around you. Real Ear Verification is the gold standard in hearing care, and we’re proud to offer it as part of our commitment to your hearing health.

Your hearing deserves nothing less than the best!

- Feeling like others are mumbling when they speak.
- Turning up the volume on the TV or phone more than before.
