We want to alert our patients and community members about a Medicare fraud scheme that has come to our attention.

Several people have recently received Medicare Summary Notices falsely showing that your medical provider ordered tens of thousands of dollars in durable medical equipment (DME) and then says the patient has a balance of a few thousand dollars which they are supposed to pay.

This is fraudulent. Your provider did not order this equipment.

The company listed on these notices is Flexcare Medical Solutions.
If you have received one of these notices:

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING.

Call Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to report it as fraud.
After reporting, you should expect a follow-up call from them.
Contact our clinic so we can document the report.

Also, people receiving these notices may not even be patients of ours, which tells us this scam is targeting the broader community, not just our patients.

After a three night stay at ours or any hospital, swing beds provide skilled nursing, IV therapy, physical therapy, patient/family education and wound care to ensure the patient is able to go home stronger and safer.

FREE BEXA scans March 2nd-5th at the Eldorado Services Center. The appointments in 30-minute increments, from 9am-4pm each day of the event. The BEXA breast exam provides an option for earlier detection and is designed to be an addition to the services already provided in the community. This service is offered free to community members. Those that are determined to have a "BEXA finding" will also receive a breast ultrasound at no cost to the client. The event is open to community members 18 years and older. Girls under 18 years can qualify if they have symptoms of concern and their parents approve for them to get the exam. It is a 14-bed facility that is home to a certified Level IV Trauma facility open 24/7. Schleicher County Family Clinic - offers a variety of services to take care of the whole family and is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with administrative staff being available from 12 to 1 p.m. Schleicher County Family Clinic serves all patients regardless of inability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered depending upon family size and income. You may apply for a discount at the front desk.
