"Im Fine"
We’ve all said it... but sometimes, “I’m fine” really means “I’m tired, overwhelmed, and holding it all together.”

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
Healing starts the moment you stop hiding your pain.

At Stress & Trauma Treatment Center, we’re here to help you unpack what’s behind “I’m fine”

When trauma is unresolved, the nervous system stays on alert, and stress systems keep firing or become easily triggered.

It doesn’t always announce itself with flashbacks or panic attacks. Most of the time, it hides in plain sight.

Trauma vs Stress – What’s the Difference?

Stress is the body and mind’s response to pressure. It can be uncomfortable, even overwhelming at times, but it is usually linked to identifiable challenges such as workload, life changes, or responsibilities; with appropriate coping strategies and support, stress can be reduced once circumstances improve.

Trauma, however, relates to experiences that overwhelm a person’s ability to cope at the time they occur. Trauma is not defined solely by the event itself but by its impact on the nervous system. When an experience feels unsafe, terrifying, or inescapable, it can leave a lasting imprint on how the body and mind respond to future situations.
