Choosing a Path to Fitness

Around early January, Sarah, my Beachbody Coach, mentioned a new program coming out and that I could be part of their Exclusive Coach Test Group. I had enjoyed the Beachbody 3 Week Yoga Retreat, recommended by Sarah a year prior, which actually got me interested in streaming exercise programs. I was very skeptical at first, but was very impressed with the quality of the content and the expert instruction in the 3 Week Yoga Retreat. As a Physical Therapist, I tend to have a critical eye for movement but I found everything that I observed was sound and lined up with everything I was taught and was currently teaching others.

When I offered up the excuse that I was an “old Tai Chi dude” and that obsessing over anything for 80 Days did not sound appealing or doable, she said her Dad was doing it. The Challenge was on! If her Dad could do it, I could do it! And so I did the whole 80 Day program and got to part of the 40,000 plus Exclusive Coach Test Group! It was a wonderful experience, although butt kicking at times, but I made it through. I not only made it through, I had more energy, I felt more creative, I had to buy pants a few inches smaller, I felt stronger, and my singing endurance for church was better. On so many fronts, my Body, Mind, and Spirit experienced transformation.

So, just when I thought I could mosey on to nighttime cherry chocolate chip ice cream and an exercise when I felt like it program, Autumn Calabrese, the creator of 80 Day Obsession, gets this gig with leading two Today Show participants through her program starting June 4th. Long story short, I am in for the 80 Day June Challenge! This is the end of week one and I plan on being obsessed for 73 more days!

Beachbody Exercise and Nutrition, along with Tai Chi, are integral parts of my fitness lifestyle and I hope they will become a part of yours too! Health Port America’s mission is to measure and improve the fitness level and quality of life of its Clients through Innovation and Life Coaching.
