LOMI LOMI — The Flowing Art
Lomi Lomi is poetry in motion.
Long, continuous strokes —
like waves that never quite stop touching the shore.
It’s not piece by piece.
It’s whole.
Connected.
Forearms glide from shoulder to ankle,
seamless and rhythmic,
so your body stops feeling like separate parts and starts feeling like one story again.
There’s a dance to it.
A flow that carries you.
This isn’t about fixing.
It’s about restoring harmony.
About reminding your body how to move as a single, fluid current.
Lomi Lomi feels like water.
Like breath.
Like coming back to yourself.
And when someone melts into that rhythm —
when their entire system settles into trust —
that’s the art unfolding in real time.

I’m excited to share a glimpse of what will be unfolding in my work after I complete my studies in Ayurveda.
This next season of learning is guiding me deeper into the ancient wisdom of caring for the body as a whole—mind, body, and spirit—through both Ayurvedic Health Counseling and Ayurvedic Bodywork.
As an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, I will walk alongside clients as we explore their unique constitution and current imbalances, learning the language of the body through observation, conversation, and traditional assessments such as pulse and tongue.
From there, the work becomes a gentle returning to rhythm.
Together we will look at nourishment, digestion, and the foods that best support each individual body. We will create daily routines that restore balance, incorporate practices for rest and movement, and explore foundational herbs that support vitality. Breathwork, meditation, and simple lifestyle shifts will help calm the nervous system and create space for the body to heal in the way it was designed to.
Ayurveda is deeply rooted in prevention—learning to live in harmony with the seasons, the body, and the natural world before imbalance turns into illness.
Alongside counseling, I will also be offering traditional Ayurvedic bodywork therapies, each designed to support the body in its own unique way.
Treatments such as Abhyanga, a warm oil massage that nourishes the tissues and soothes the nervous system…
Shirodhara, where a steady stream of warm herbal oil flows across the forehead to quiet the mind and ease deep stress…
Udvartana, an invigorating herbal treatment that stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow…
Swedana, therapeutic herbal steam that encourages detoxification and opens the body’s channels…
Specialized Basti treatments for joints and areas of pain…
And Marma therapy, the gentle awakening of the body’s vital energy points.
Each therapy is rooted in the same intention:
to bring the body back into balance, restore flow, and support the body’s natural ability to heal.
This path of study is long and intentional, and I’m honored to be stepping into it. I look forward to the day when I can offer these deeply nourishing practices as part of the work I already love so much.
The journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🌿

Ebb and Flow Massage Therapy is growing…and I’m excited to share a new step in our journey.

In 3 weeks I will start my 2 year program to become an Ayurvedic Bodywork Specialist and Ayurvedic Health Counselor. After graduation I will do an internship and then sit for the National Ayurvedic Medical Association exam!

For me, learning Ayurveda isn’t about adding another service to a menu. It’s about deepening the way I understand the body, the nervous system, and the unique rhythms that make each person who they are.

Ayurveda teaches that true wellness comes from balance — not just in the body, but in the mind, the nervous system, our daily rhythms, and how we care for ourselves season by season.

As I continue my studies toward becoming an Ayurvedic Bodywork Specialist and Ayurvedic Health Counselor, I’m excited to begin weaving these principles into my practice. This means looking at the whole person — not just where something hurts, but why the body may be asking for attention in the first place.

Through bodywork, nervous system support, and Ayurvedic wisdom, my hope is to create sessions that help bring the body back into balance in a deeper, more sustainable way.

Thank you for trusting me to keep learning, growing, and bringing new tools to the table.

**Stay tuned for more information on what exactly this means for you as a client! And dont worry, this doesn’t mean Ashiatsu is leaving, it's just getting better.**

A little scheduling update from my table 🤍
March has completely filled, and I’m so grateful for the trust you place in this work. As a one-person practice, I do my best to hold space for everyone who needs time here, but I’m unable to add any more sessions for this month.
April is nearly full as well, with only 1–2 openings left on the remaining available days.
Thank you for allowing my table to stay so full of good people doing good work for their bodies and nervous systems. If you’ve been thinking about coming in, now would be a good time to secure one of those last April spots.

THAI HERBAL COMPRESS — The Warm, Infused Art
Thai herbal compress feels like painting with warmth.
Steam rises.
Herbs awaken.
The room shifts before my hands even touch you.
The heat seeps in slowly —
unraveling guarded muscles, inviting circulation, coaxing the body into openness.
It’s rhythmic.
Press and pause.
Roll and settle.
The herbs do their quiet work while I follow the lines of your body, layering warmth over intention.
This session feels like being wrapped —
like your body is being reminded it’s safe to exhale.
Softening doesn’t always have to be intense.
Sometimes it’s warmth that does the unraveling.
And that kind of gentle release…
that’s art too.

The art of relaxation massage is misunderstood sometimes.
People hear “relaxation” and think light, fluffy, surface level.
But what I practice on my table is art with intention.
Relaxation is not the absence of depth.
It is depth delivered with listening.
It’s slow, steady strokes that give your nervous system permission to soften.
It’s therapeutic touch that doesn’t force your body to change —
but invites it.
It’s working with the muscle instead of against it.
Following the breath.
Waiting for the tissue to speak before responding.
Because true therapeutic work doesn’t have to hurt to be effective.
When the body feels safe, it lets go.
When it lets go, pain shifts.
Mobility returns.
The mind quiets.
That is the art.
On my table, relaxation and results are not opposites.
They are partners.
And the most powerful changes often happen in the softest moments.
If your body is craving that kind of work — the kind that restores instead of overwhelms — my table is here for you.

ASHIATSU — The Deep, Intentional Art 🖌

Ashiatsu is my boldest brush stroke.
It’s not force.
It’s depth with control.
It’s slow, grounded pressure that feels like the earth itself is holding you.
When I work with my feet, I can sink in without jabbing.
Broad. Steady. Intentional.
It’s the art of meeting stubborn tension without fighting it.
Of giving your nervous system enough support that it finally says,
“Okay… I can let go.”
There’s something sacred about that kind of depth.
Not aggressive.
Not rushed.
Just weight, patience, and listening.
Ashiatsu isn’t about how deep I can go.
It’s about how deeply you can soften.
That’s the masterpiece.

Massage has never been “just a service” to me.
It’s art.
Not the kind that hangs on a wall…
the kind that breathes.
The kind that listens.
Every body that gets on my table tells a different story.
Layers. Texture. Holding. Guarding. Letting go.
My hands and feet don’t follow a script.
They follow tension.
They follow the nervous system.
They follow what’s ready to soften.
Some sessions feel like slow brush strokes — long, steady, blending edges until everything feels seamless again.
Some feel like detailed work — patient, precise, tending to the places that have been whispering for attention.
It’s creative.
It’s intuitive.
It’s deeply intentional.
And when it all comes together — when breath deepens, shoulders drop, the jaw unclenches — that’s the masterpiece.
That moment when someone feels at home in their body again.
That’s the art. 🤍
