Today is the last day for public comment on the elimination of chiropractic care for patients over the age of 21 starting in January, 2026. If you receive or any of your family receive state subsidized health insurance (Blue Plus, Medical Assistance, South Country, etc) your coverage for chiropractic care will be eliminated in January. Even if you have never seen a chiropractor, you need to contact our legislators and DHS to encourage them to keep chiropractic coverage for individuals over 21. Many in our area benefit from chiropractic care for neuromusculoskeletal conditions, and eliminating coverage will increase visits to urgent care and emergency rooms, thus increasing overall costs and strain to our resources exponentially. Many small businesses and farmers rely on these programs for care. Eliminating chiropractic coverage is bad policy and poor fiscal responsibility.
