The Village of South Elgin welcomes veterans and their families/friends for a Veterans Day Celebration taking place at 10:30am, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

The celebration will take place in the Board Room at the Village Public Safety Center, 50 S Water Street, South Elgin, IL. Before and after the celebration, all are welcome to stop at the Veterans Plaza near the building entrance for a moment of quiet reflection, to view the dedicated paver bricks, and to take photos.

Each sponsored wreath is laid by hand on a veteran’s grave as a personal act of remembrance, and as a promise that their service, sacrifice, and legacy are never forgotten.

Our $20 charity parking begins at 5 pm on Saturday, October 25, at 305 Park St. Please consider parking with us and enjoy a short walk to Nightmare! 💀

All proceeds go to support local veterans served by Elgin American Legion Post 57. No shuttles, secure parking with 24-7 surveillance, excellent lighting, and the ability to leave whenever you like.

If your driver has too much to drink, cars can be left overnight as long as they are retrieved before Monday at 8AM. Your safety is our priority.
