Many who have been to our office know that we have White Sox memorabilia in abundance but cancer does not care if you are a Cubs or a Sox fan. Cubs for a Cure does a fantastic job of raising funds that 100% go to cancer research. Our office supports this cause and below is the link if you would like to do the same. Happy Holidays from the Elgin Foot and Ankle Center! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a good New Year. We are closed Dec 24th/25th and the 1st of January and we close early on Dec 31st but remain open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of both holiday weeks to assist you with any foot and ankle needs you may have.

Anybody who has stepped foot into the Elgin Foot and Ankle Center knows that Dr. Jacoby (both the father and son) are slightly obsessive White Sox Fan but it is important to know that we accept patients regardless of their baseball fandom.

With that said, this weekend the Chicago Cubs have partnered with 670 the score and are supporting "Cubs for a Cure." They are raising funds for cancer research in a very big way. Even as White Sox fans we wanted to show our support for the cubs organization and share the link below if anyone is interested.

Cancers of the foot and ankle are rare compared to many other cancers but there is a major similarity between cancers of the foot and the rest of body which is that early detection and treatment are crucial to success. In conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, Stand Up To Cancer and BrainUp, 670 The Score and Audacy are aiming to raise $1 million for cancer research.

The Elgin Foot and Ankle Center may have a new look but we still offer the same quality service we have become known for. You no longer can find our office by looking for the tulip wall off the elevator as we have updated our flooring and paint. We hope you enjoy the new look of office as much as we do. Do not worry; the Chicago White Sox room is unchanged and here to stay.

May 22nd is gout awareness day. If you believe you may suffer from gout or gout related foot pain please use the resources from the APMA to gather information and contact our office for an appointment so we can aid you in your diagnosis and treatment.

Gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints that can lead to sudden, intense pain.

The Elgin Foot and Ankle Center wants to wish everyone a happy and safe new year. 2021 was a major year for our office as Dr. Kenneth Jacoby retired in 2021. He practiced locally since 1984 and has become a pillar of the medical community here in Elgin. Even with Ken's retirement our podiatry practice remains open and strives to continue caring for Elgin and the surrounding communities as Dr. Kenneth Jacoby has for the past 37 years. We have 4 doctors available at our office including the next generation of Jacobys as Dr. Cory Jacoby continues on his father's work in the community. Congratulations Dr. Ken on your retirement and Happy New Year to all.
