On behalf of Albemarle Medical Transport, we want to extend our deepest condolences to the entire Midwest Medical Transport/ North State Medical Transport on the heartbreaking loss of two Elizabeth City based team members.

The EMS community is a family, and when tragedy strikes one of us, it is felt by us all. Your team’s dedication, courage, and service to others is an inspiration, and we stand with you in this difficult time.

It is with heavy hearts that we extend our condolences on the loss of our teammate and friend, Ed Dunlow. Ed was a dedicated EMT and leader at Albemarle Medical Transport. More than just a coworker, he was like family. His dedication, compassion, and kindness touched countless lives both within our team and throughout the community he faithfully served.

Ed will be deeply missed by all of us. We ask that you keep his family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Ed. Thank you for your service and the lasting impact you made on our community and agency.

🚑 ECMX is honored to partner with Albemarle Medical Transport in 2025!

AMT will be on site at all of our organized practices and race weekends this year. These guys are state certified and were referred to us by Pasquotank County EMS.

We have a thorough safety plan in place and work closely with EMS to ensure quick and effective response to any situation.

We have rovers who work closely with EMS to effectively communicate necessary info to assist in making quick decisions regarding downed riders.

All EMS have track radios and are given a photographic map of the track with stands and jumps indicated.

EMS is also made aware of track entrance/exits and are present at flagger/riders meetings.

Having an EMS team onsite that is knowledgeable in motocross events is a huge key to working together seamlessly.

You will find these guys watching the track and listening to the their radios all during our event. They are ready to go when needed!

From all of us at ECMX please know that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our riders get the medical support they need, when they need it!
